Scrub Island Resort in British Virgin Islands Introduces New Members to Finance Team
SCRUB ISLAND, British Virgin Islands (Feb. 21, 2023) – Scrub Island Resort, Spa & Marina has appointed Carol Baker-Robinson as Director of Finance and Hailee Concepción as Senior Assistant Director of Finance & Accounting of the luxury, private-island getaway. Baker-Robinson will oversee strategic planning, ROI analysis, budgeting, profit maximization and more, while Concepción will handle day-to-day operations of the accounting department, such as monthly forecasts, financial reports, and profit and loss statements.
Baker-Robinson has spent three decades in financial management in the hospitality industry, working with globally recognized brands and multimillion-dollar resorts. Most recently the Director of Finance at The Ritz-Carlton, St. Thomas, she has also worked with The Ritz-Carlton, Atlanta, and various Marriott properties in the northeast U.S., including New York City. She has a degree in business administration from Pace University School of Business in New York.
Concepción is also joining Scrub Island Resort from The Ritz-Carlton, St. Thomas, where he was the Senior Assistant Director of Finance & Accounting. He began his nearly 20-year hospitality career at the New York Marriott Marquis Times Square and spent many years in the city before heading to the Caribbean. Concepción holds a degree in accounting and finance from City University of New York Baruch College.
