Being the first new resort development in the British Virgin Islands in 15 years, we at Scrub Island recognize that environmental protection of our pristine paradise is not only our moral duty, but also good business practice. Both here, and throughout the British Virgin Islands, we are leaders in the implementation of and adherence to green standards. In fact, we provide recycling processing services to other businesses in the region. We intend to be known as “Nature’s Little Secret” for many generations to come.

• All consumables and products delivered to Scrub Island, once used, are processed for recycling on our property.

• Wastewater is processed on the island, and re-used for irrigation of Scrub Island’s indigenous plant species.

• Biodegradable matter is processed on the property and used in the cultivation of Scrub Island’s indigenous plant species.

• The Scrub Island Marina is equipped with full pump-out facilities and enforces strict terms and conditions for all watercraft docked here.

• Scrub Island follows the international environmental protection standards from Blue Flag, Recycling and Green Hotels.
